pick up measure

Hi
I'm trying to work out tablature for JS Bach BWV 996 - Bouree. The sheet music I have starts with a measure that has only 2 eighth notes and no rests. The last measure of the first part (which repeats) has only a dotted half note and no rests. I know these measures are connected but don't know how make MuseScore leave out the rests. Any suggestions?

That first measure it is a pickup measure or anarcusis, the last measure the remainder. Youi get those by changing the actual lenth of those measure in the measure properties (right click into it to see the corresponding menu)
