option to add accidental to ornaments
it would be very nice to have the option to add an accidental to an ornament (above or below/in brackets).
It is possible now with text input but super impractical. Playback following the accidental would be nice but is not very important.

Strangely, looking through the forums and issue tracker, it looks like this may have been supported at some point in the past: #40216: Accidental on trill are not displayed anymore
Huh, I don't think I knew about this, but it apparently still is supported - or at least, it does work. Try adding a trill line, selecting it, then double clicking an accidental. Bam! You can even add parentheses to the accidental, fine tune the position manually, etc.

That works only for the trill line but not for all the short ornaments like short trill, mordent, turn where it is needed at least as much.

It is almost impossible to get an accidental properly in brackets as staff text. As work around: I use the wavy line (or other trill from the lines palette), add the accidental and then hide the wave line and put the ornament I need...

What do you mean when you say it is difficult to get an accidental "properly" in brackets? I create text, "( Ctrl+Shift+B )" and it looks fine to me (same if you I use Special Characters palette rather than keyboard shortcut to enter the flat). Maybe the accidental is a little small using default font, but it's simple enough to increase its size using the text toolbar. Are you concerned about the precise amount of space between the bracket and accideental? Vertical position?

Indeed size, size and position are not what they should be and no pleasure to change the size manually every time.

With resizing:
With help of wavy line (hidden):
(also not ideal but the best of these three)
