Hardcopy note size, staff spacing
In the jazz leadsheet (MuseScore 2) I set the scaling to 2.5mm (Layout > Page Settings> Scaling). The notes are now just right size for my vision but the space between consecutive staves is too large. How can I make that space smaller without impacting any other item settings on the page?

And in particular, the System distances (minimum and maximum). Depending on how many systems you have and whether you wish to actually fit another system on on a page, you might need to change on or both to get the specific effect you want.
