Repeatedly clicking a note during playback dysfunctions it

Repeatedly click a note during playback (a second gap each time) - it will not respond after doing this a few times, unless I press the spacebar, which does play it again (instead of stopping it).

Using 2.0 nightly build (3996) and Mac 10.4.11.
