What's the logic with focus when entering note input mode?
I remember this was discussed at some point, but I can't find the discussion. When I write a score and switch back and forth to note entry mode, I very often loses the focus on the bars that I work on, especially if I have the continuous view on. MuseScore seems to jump to a very random place in the score if I don't have anything selected, when entering the note input mode. But it probably doesn't! It probably just follows a different logic about where to focus, when entering note input mode. I wonder what that logic is. I'd set the focus to the last item that was edited or selected before entering note input mode, whether or not the item was actually selected at time being.
Another slightly annoying behaviour is in the continuous view, where the focus sometimes jumps to what obviously is a new line, if one was in the page view mode. The cursor usually jumps, after a note or rest input, to the next beat (or half beat whatever, depending on the note value being used) and if that beat is on the first beat on next bar on next line, one loses the sight of the entered note.
Since one has chosen the continuous view, one doesn't want to lose sight of the entered note. I'd rather see that the notes that I enter stay on the middle of the screen. That way I could more easily build up block chords on the last beat in one bar, instead of having the focus jumping off that bar all the time.
This could have been sent to the feature request, but as I said, MuseScore might have a logic here that I just don't know. Hence this general discussion forum.
