Then i click the url at: Direct download for Windows: http://musescore.org/download/musescore.exe
It downloads V. 1.0

You can get 0.9.6.3 from http://sourceforge.net/projects/mscore/files/mscore/mscore-0.9.6.3/
I still need to take a look to the microtune plugin and it should work on 1.0 after a quick bug fix but if you can't wait...
The download links are intended to always link to the latest stable version. The main rationale for this decision is that many websites take over the download links and we want them to point to the latest greatest MuseScore version so people always download these instead of an old release.

then it would be nice it it told youtt on the page for 0.9.6 then told you wee to go. main page sends you to this page 0.9.6 so how would you how to fined 0.9.6

also for a new person it is hard to send a post because thew choises are Save and Preview why would i want to save my post when i want to poat it. this should be fixed also.

It's very unlikely that someone wants to download MuseScore 0.9.6. It's discouraged to use an old version. There are also more than 10 000 posts on this forum, so some people did find the Save button ;) Still I tend to agree that Post is better.

unless you want to use a plugin that does not work with 1.0 but does with 0.9.6. i had to have someone tell me how to post even the video des not tell you which botten to click. but i am a dummy, and do not click bottens that say the wrong thing.
