Barely any sound in MuseScore 1.0

When the sound stops, I can just hear the note slightly. There is the slight hiss upon playback that's generally associated with whenever there's sound. The sound levels are showing too.

I have checked both soundfonts (Tim and Fluid). The demo score has no sound. I downloaded it again and installed it - I wonder if it has anything to do with updating within the software (as opposed to manually)?

It works fine in 2.0 Nightly Build (3996), however.

Using Mac 10.6.6.
