Showing and hiding lute tablature flags

• Jan 27, 2016 - 20:37

In the nightly 2.1.0 (also in the release version) you have the possibility to choose in additional style options (note lines) different lute tablature flag options for showing:
- never
- every new system
- every new measure
- always

Normally I use the "every new measure"-option. The problem is that I then don't have the possibility to change the visibility of now hidden flags. I can hide the shown flags, but never could add another one - at least I don't know how.

It would be good to be able to show other, now hidden flags, to help understanding the music better.
E.g. if you want to show the quarter beats in a measure with sixteenth.
Currently the only way seems to be to show all flags and hide the ones, that you don't want to see.

I think it should also work the other way round ...
That means that the notes without flags should also have the possibility for flags, which then should be set to "hidden" in the stem checkbox by the program, so that you can later uncheck that box to show them.

In the meantime through a problem and the help of cadiz1 I found out that this is already possible - not as I expected, but anyway very easily.

By double clicking "singular notes" in a selected tab sign it is possible to force tab flags to be shown!
SingularNote-nobeam1.png The only problem I see is the GUI - it would be good to see, that in tablature beam options change the appearance of flags. It would be good to have then a changed palette.

For me the thread could be closed now.
