Marching percussion?

I use this program to write shows for percussion ensembles, and cannot figure out how to get Marching Bass Drums, and the Tenor Drums to sound like the the actuall instrument, but when i put the bass on the staff, produces the sound as a piano. So if someone could tell me how to write the battery music and make it sound like the section, that would be great!
