This is a bug already fixed for the next version of MuseScore: #58061: Beam direction of uneven triplets wrong

I'm still a little uncomfortable calling this a "bug", as there are legitimate cases where either direction might be considered correct, but I do agree it is likely most people will most often prefer it pointing left.
Meanwhile, you can force the partial beam left in 2.0.2 by clicking the third note and then applying the "beam 16th sub" from Beam Properties.
