how to hide line break icons

• Feb 7, 2016 - 23:12

I sometimes use explicit line breaks to format. But when I use capture mode, the line break icons go along for the ride.

Can I leave the manual line breaks in-force, but hide them from view?

In one case, I could chose "Break lines every 4 measures" but the pick-up bar throws everything out.

Thanks for any advice....Lyle

When you right-click to save the image capture, there are two options: Screenshot Mode--which shows everything you see on the screen inside the capture box--and Print Mode--which shows the image as it would print if you exported it as a PDF. If you don't want the line-break icons to show up in the png image, use Print Mode to save it.

Yes, by switching off menu View > Show Unprintable

The command "Break lines every 4 measures" works at the whole score (which gets totally selected) or at the selection that you have appended. Therefore you can select everything except the pick-up-bar (select the first measure after the pick-up and hit Ctrl+Shift+End) before starting the command.
