Clave instrument and SoundFont
Hi guys,
I just started using musescore and wanted to use Clave instrument. I see it on on the website:
https://musescore.org/pl/instruments/claves
but unfortunately not on my instrument list (attached screen).
I tried to add a soundfont and I have found one named:
461-latin-hand-perc-sf2
which have the instrument I wanted.
I have added the soundfont in mixer. But I still cannot find it on the instrument list.
How can I have it there?

It is being translated to Polish as Legnetti (or Klawesy for Gutar Pro Import, seems pretty inconsistent)

Which of the 2 (if any) is the correct Polish translation?
Google translate suggests "Klucze"

Wszystko jest dobrze, profesorku.
Klucze w języku polskim:
- klucze do otwierania drzwi
- klucze jako narzędzia
- klucze na pięciolinii
- klucze rejestracyjne
- słowa-klucze
- itd.
Używaj Google translatora do tłumaczenia języków słowiańskich, a na pewno wszyscy Cię dobrze zrozumieją. Sugeruję, że na pewno. Zupełnie jak Twojego przyjaciela mike320, który udziela się na polskim forum...

A następna sprawa to fakt, że w polskim tłumaczeniu używamy włoskich nazw instrumentów. Temat był już wielokrotnie poruszany na polskim forum.

Same issue here...
For some musical terms it is indeed normal to use Italian terms. Not so much for instrument names though.
And in this case "Claves" is not Italian al all, but rather Spanish, and not for "key" but for "nail" (the first claves were wodden ship nails)

It all instruments in Polish use Italian names, then those in https://www.transifex.com/musescore/musescore/translate/#pl/musescore/1… should too, shouldn't they?

A Polish reply to an English question in an English forum is not helpful.
Of course the translation or workds depend on their context, here though I believe the context or these 2 string to be identical and refer to the Instrument called "Claves", yet it got translated differently and as such inconsistently (and by you).

Inconsistently translated into German too BTW, "Klanghölzer" and "Claves". Fixed now.

"Legnetti" -> Italian translation for "Claves"
"Klawesy" -> Polish for "Claves"? Seeing that it is "Клаве" in Russian, this seems to make sense

I don't understand your problem, Jojo-Schmitz.
On Transifex, polish:
Instruments - italian names (https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legnetti)
MuseScore - polish names in all strings (https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Klawesy)
I've never seen any score with polish instrument names. Maybe for kids.
In my opinion problem is solved.

The problem is that this makes scores imported from Guitar Pro to use Polish instrument names, while scores created manually use Italian ones.

This is for Guitar Pro import, to drag Guitar Pro users over to MuseScore and allow MuseScore users to benefit from many Guitar Pro scores.
Those translations are inconstent and as such plain wrong IMHO.
