Transpose
Upon launching it in a C major score, the dialogue box isn't there (saying there's no notes selected and if I'd like to transcribe the whole score). When the actual transpose box is launched, the 'Transpose by key' feature isn't available.
C major was the only one I found (so far) that this has happened to - there maybe more.

I should note when you Select All, it works.
It's just if you haven't selected anything, the box normally comes up, but it doesn't for pieces in this key signature.

This is not related to having C-Major key signature. It happens you have only one note or rest selected.

Yes, but the following should happen (don't click any notes): Open a score not C-Major and click Transpose, the dialogue box will open ("There's no note selected, transpose whole score?").
However, this happens with a C major score: Open it and click Transpose. No dialogue box will open.
I think I've re-defined the purpose of the thread. Basically, with a C-Major score, the dialogue box will not appear with the option.

Yes. I was just trying to clarify that the key signature is irrelevant (try other key signatures to see what I mean). What is relevant is that one rest is selected when you start a new score.

Think I've worked out the problem - some older scores were affected the way I described it (I find however, it wasn't just scores without flats or sharps at the beginning affected).
Hopefully that's the issue closed now :).
Thanks David.
Can anyone tell me how to transpose all (or part) of a completed score??
Thanks, Jim

Select it, then, for instance,
Notes>Transpose
or
use up/down arrows
