Adding a clef
I am using template ‘leadsheet’ and want to add a clef at every start of a staff line after the first one (where the clef is already there).
When I follow the procedure written in the handbook:
1. select a clef from the palette
2. drag it to the first (empty) measure of the (2nd, 3rd etc.)staff line.
Then nothing happens. Can somebody help me please?

You don't need to add a clef sign manually to each system. Instead:
On the Menu Bar, choose Style > Edit General Style.
In the dialog box that appears, click on ‘Page’ and then check the box for ‘Create clef for all systems.’

That was the solution to my problem. I could not find
this in the handbook or did I overlook something?

Hmm, I couldn't say as I'm not real familiar with the handbook ... and even less so with the templates. I wasn't even aware that the Leadsheet template doesn't put a clef sign at the beginning of each system, but I've used MuseScore for a while now and had a good sense of where to look for how to control it.

All the style stuff is not documented as far as I know.

Well I think it should be a great help to write a tutor which starts with a very
common ‘Getting Started’ lesson using a simple score sheet which you want
to enter using MuseScore encountering the most common things.
Those YouTube lessons are not of a great help but
that is of course a very personal opinion.
Until now I am using the notation software MusEdit which introduces itself
with a ‘Getting Started’ manual far better than the MuseScore manual.
Why do I want to use (try out) MuseScore one can ask?. Because of the very poor
MusEdit support…….

MuseScore is free (as in beer and speech) and so relies on the community for the documentation. When you will be confortable with MuseScore you are greatly welcome to make a video tutorial yourself.
The most common things are not really easy to list. Putting a clef at the beginning of each staff is far from a common thing for me. You need to be able to enter the notes on the sheet first ;)
