Skew Bar Lines. What the Hell?

• Nov 23, 2010 - 22:04

Take a look at page 8 (Bar 46) How do I solve this?
How do I go about by creating an audio break between the movements?
The bass drum never has sound. (I doubled it as a low A in the timpani part)

I deleted the measure with the faulty bar lines. If you discover the steps that caused this to happen for you, could you please share the steps? What version of MuseScore are you using? (see Help > About for the version and revision numbers)

I don't see any notes in the bass drum part. Do you mean that you are having difficulty adding notes to the bass drum staff? Note entry for non-pitched percussion works differently than other instruments. Please read drum notation in the handbook carefully.

I was working on the score and took a break to read my email. When I got back to it the bar lines were skew. So, all I have to do is to delete the faulty bars and reinsert them...
I know how to insert percussion, especially one liners. All that I'm saying is that the bass drum has no sound to it. I also tried to insert a tam-tam (Create, Instruments) but the program crashes every time I try to insert it.

Bass drum plays file for me (see attached). I used a different rhythm in the first measure so it could be audibly distinguished from the timpani. I also inserted a Tam-tam above the snare without any issues.

Could you please tell us what version you are using? (see Help > About for the version and revision numbers)
Could you give exact step-by-step instructions for the tam-tam crash?
