Next item: wrong interpretation MusicXML from credit words MusicXML

• Oct 19, 2015 - 14:50

At the bottum line by means of credit words in MusicXML the next line has been defined:

<credit page="1"><credit-words font-family="Plantin MT Std" valign="baseline" justify="left" default-y="24.980" default-x="8.193" font-size="11">Chart by Andy Dudnick andy@andydudnick.com</credit-words>
</credit>

According to this to this at the bottum of the page at the left it should show:
Chart by Andy Dudnick andy@andydudnick.com
This is the case in as well MuseScore 1.3 as in Sibelius.

However it shows in MuseScore 2.0.2:
(fontsize="11"/>(font face="Plantin MT StD"/>Chart by Andy Dudnick andy@andydudnick.com

Two mistakes: it is not at the left as shown by the position: default-x="8.193" and defined by: justify="left", but is shown in the middle.
Secondly it shows parts of the syntax in a strange order as well, which shouldn't be visible at all.

See attached results of 1.3 and 2.0.2 and attached MusicXML. This was the case with another >100 files as well.

Since you have a proper bug report, could you file in the issue tracker instead? https://musescore.org/en/project/issues In fact two issues would be better, one for the markup and one for the alignment. In any case, MuseScore 2.0 doesn't support floating text attached to the page, so I'm not sure we can do something for the alignment anytime soon.
Thanks!

Ok, I did add it as two separate issues, but I don't understand your comment:

I'm not sure what you mean with "floating text attached to the page". It is NOT floating, in fact it is text at a position where normally something is shown about copyright or equivalent info.

Nevertheless MuseScore 1.3 and Sibelius 7 and Finale 2014 perfectly show the text at a correct position, so it seems a little bit strange if MuseScore 2.0 suddenly does otherwise.
