Language
I am physically located in France.
Some months ago I downloaded MuseScore (in English) and have been using it successfully ever since. Today the program independently of any action by me switched itself to the French language and won't allow me to switch in back to English. This not a major problem because I am fluent in French but English is my native tongue and I'd like to use the program in English. Can someone tell me what to do to accomplish this. Perhaps remove MuseScore and reload it? I would do this but am afraid of losing all the scores I have laborously entered into it. Thanks.

As long as you don't delete your MSCZ files, you wouldn't lose your scores by uninstalling and re-installing MuseScore—but you don't need to. Simply open MuseScore's Preferences and set the language to English: https://musescore.org/en/handbook/preferences#general
I thank you for your prompt answer to my post. However I failed to tell you that when I go to preferences and the list of languages, both French and English are grayed out so your solution will not work. Must I therefore remove Musescore and reload it in order to once again have the English version? Or is there another "work-around"?
Thank you.

It got to be in there, but maybe Windows Explorer doesn't show known extensions (a rather stupid and dangerous default setting)
