Less mouse in add/remove breaks menu
In the add remove breaks menu, could we have the "4" there already selected so that simple key strokes are enough to change the number rather than needing to engage the mouse?

Yes, that would be useful as would hitting [Enter] to apply it instead of having to click on the OK button. You can, however, already select it by pressing [Tab]

I am not sure you can have it both ways. Right now focus is on the OK button, so all you have to do to get 4 measures per system (the most common use for this dialog, I would imagine) is hit Enter. Moving the focus to the numebr would make it harder to accept the default, unless maybe there is some way of doing that I don't know about.
Neither has the focus in my setup. Pressing Enter does nothing even if I Tab to set the focus on the OK button I still have to mouse-click it.

Really? It works for me, also on Ubuntu, but 14.04, and I am using xfce as my window manager. For me, as soon as the dialog comes up, all I normally need to do to accept the defualt is hit Enter.

Really and truly and I am also using XFCE. [Enter] key appears to work normally otherwise - when clicking on a barline and then pressing [Enter], for instance, it creates a line break. I have not (as far as I can tell) done anything daft like assigning the [Enter] key to a shortcut. Tabbing works fine to the various elements of the dialogue box but pressing [Enter] on either OK or Cancel has no effect. I'm pretty sure it was working until recently. I upgraded to 15.10 in October. Might have a look at boot time and see if there has been a recent kernel change or anything but it's an odd bug if that were to blame.

Everything else, everywhere else is working normally as far as I can tell. I haven't used the Break every X measures Plugin for a little while since I have been doing piano/vocal parts and my template is set to 4 by default but I still think it was working fine maybe a month ago. As I said, If I find a recent kernel change or something else I'll try the older version in case for some reason it makes a difference. I can live with this, it's just a bit odd. Qt version is 5.4.0 and that hasn't changed for a while.

I'm going to [Tab] to get the focus on the "Save" button then press [enter] so if you can read this then it works.

To be clear - I'm not talking about a plugin. I'm talking about Edit / Tools / Add/Remove Line Breaks

Ah, misunderstanding on my part. It's the Plugin that doesn't get the focus and even when you [Tab] to the OK or Cancel button and give them the focus it doesn't respond to enter.
The menu exhibits normal behaviour for a combo box. A single press of [Tab] takes you to the number and allows entry of a digit or the use of the up and down arrow keys to adjust.

Yes, and that is the official ubuntu handling of [Space] in dialogue boxes but the main problem was with me getting confused between the Menu and a Plugin. Thank you, though.
