Ties, Eb cornet, and tenor drums
Hello. I'm fairly new to this program after switching from Finale and I have a few questions:
1. Is it possible to have the play back function not break ties? Every time I have multiples of the same note it breaks the tie and sounds weird.
2. Is there a way for me to write a part for an Eb cornet and tenor drums in the score? I didn't see them on the instrument menu and I'm not technologically savvy enough to figure this out alone.

Ad 2) Eb cornet is available, try 'all instruments', you may find Tenor Drum there too.

Did the Handbook solve your problem with ties? Should do playback correectly when entered correctly, but a common mistake is to enter a slur (from the Lines palette, or shortcut "S") when you really want a tie (from the note input toolbar, or shortcut "+").
Regarding instruments, easiest way to find instruments is to use the search box at the bottom of the window. Searching for "cornet" or "tenor" would yield the instruments you seek.
