Tempo Bug

• Feb 28, 2016 - 19:48

When I try to change the tempo, the number I put in is not what is played and keeps playing at 80. For example, if I put 60 in instead of 80, it plays at 80, but when I put 40 instead of 60, it plays at 60. It is like its taking the last number I put in as the tempo and not what is written.

Be sure you haven't inadvertently unchecked the "Follow text" option in the Inspector for the tempo text you are editing. Also, be sure you are entering the tempo in the correct units - eg, as the quarter note or dotted quarter or half depending on what the tempo text specifies.

If that doesn't fix the problem, please post the specific score you are having problems with and precise steps to reproduce the problem.

I'm seeing this too. Basically, the first time I change the tempo (through editing the tempo text in the score), MuseScore ignores it and continues using the original tempo. When I change it again, MuseScore starts using the previous tempo I changed it to, and continues to do this every time I change the tempo. I've observed this on multiple scores, but if it helps, here's one in particular . I'm only working with single-tempo pieces, so I'm not sure how multiple tempos would affect things. I'm using MuseScore stable 2.0.2.
