First Composition
Hello,
I am excited to use this software. I sent a donation in to help with the costs. I am trying to determine if it's the user or the software. I am unable to add any notes to the first measure.
I am using percussion, 100 bps, 4/4. I only am using the snare drum, so it is one line. I get a lot of rests such as 16th rests and quarter rests.
I had originally planned to buy Finale; but was moved to try this. It seems to be the one that would satisfy me, as long as I am able to add notes. My computer skills are minimal at best.
Whatever you can do to get me started.

Hello Lloyd, I had the same issue, then I found out that for entering notes for percussion you use different keys, in this case with the snare ,pressing on your keyboard "B" inputs the normal attack and "A" is for side stick sound

If you still need help after reading the Handbook section on "Drum notation", please attach the specific score you are having trouble with and explain in more detail what you are trying to do and how you are trying to do it.

Thank you for the prompt reply. I will reread the Handbook on drum notation's more closely. I am guessing that the combination of limited computer skills followed by an anxious personality may not be benefiting me. Have a nice day! Lloyd
