One staff showing on top of the other?
Help? Why might one staff by showing overlapping on another?
I've tried to use the spacing arrows found in the Breaks & Spacers (which are so handy and do so well most of the time), but something is all messed up now.
What can I do to get the two staves apart?

So, like, the upper system is on top of the next system.
I'm on page 6, and I had no problems before this page, but things just aren't lining up well at all.
Hmmm, well, this worked. I deleted one of the lines that seemed to be stuck on the page without moving, and then I re-entered the notes from that staff.
No clue what caused the problem, but that delete option cleared out whatever was stuck.
Thanks, though. I know that whenever I run into a problem, this group is always amazingly helpful, so it was easy not to panic! =]
I'm leaving this thread in case anyone else runs into the same problem.
In general, when asking for help, it is best to attach the score you are having trouble with, so we can understand the problem. I've never heard of anything like what it seems you are describing, so I can't really guess what the problem might have been, but glad it went away.

Thanks for the tip. I'll try to remember to send screen shots......, but I have one catch with that.......
Sending a whole score seems like overkill.
And...... I don't know how to take a screenshot of a score. I mean, I googled 'how to take a screen shot', but I don't know what this phrase means: "

(yes, it's clear, so I might as well admit it: I'm really technologically challenged - more than you might imagine.... I only learned MuseScore at all because of my love of music..... in spite of my allergies to all things techno..... not that I miss Black India ink or anything......, but I'm more accustomed to it and have a decent hand at it......)

But no, showing the whole score is not overhead, it is the simplest and fastest way.
If you don't want to reveal the score, create a copy and strip that down to something that still shows the buggy behavoir.

Attaching a whole score is definitely the best way to get help. You don't take a picture of your car to the mechanic to get help with it, you take the actual car - a mechanic can't tell much just from a picture. Same with music. Just attach the actual MSCZ file so we can open it ourselves and tinker with it - just as your mechanic would do with your car. Otherwise, we can really only guess what the problem might be.

That all makes a lot of sense.
I'd been speaking with my son about this after I had posted here, and he was telling me the same thing......
