How to add carnatic music symbols as text or lyrics
I would like to be able to add Carnatic music symbols to the text or lyrics. Can someone kindly advise me of the procedure?

Are they in SMuFL, and as such in the special characters palette? (try F2 in lyrics entry mode) If so use them from there.

Enter the music normally;
between the staves insert a vertical frame (or text frame) and type the notation;
Edit/Instruments->uncheck Visible.
