Bug: Text in textframe disappears with Ctrl-C

I think it has to do with the MuseJazz font. I attach a file JazzHarmonics4. I just selected the text "Daahoud (m28): Fill IIm-IM" and hit Ctrl-C; A 'box' (you usually see for an unrecognized character) appears & the text is gone.

I can't reproduce this either. I assume you start by double clicking that text to put it into edit mode, then press Ctrl+C? I can't reproduce a problem either way though. Is it possible you customized your shortcuts in such a way that Ctrl+C is no longer the "copy" shortcut?

Now we are getting close. If I double click the frame I get the same result as you. But if I right-click the frame, and select Edit Element (ctrl-E), then do Home-End to select the entire text, then Ctrl-C, I get the effect I described.

I still couldn't reproduce at first, but I think now I've figured it out. In order to see the bug, you have to use the "Edit Element" from context menu and not double click or Ctrl+E to, *and* you have to do so with the text *not* already selected - that is, if you click the text first it works. Only if you right the text without first selecting it in any way and then choose Edit Element from the context menu does the bug appear. And if you do that, then it happens for any text, not just with MuseJazz, not just text within a frame.
So this can be reproduced in any score, for example "My First Score":
1) press Esc twice to make sure nothing is selected
2) right click the word Title, being careful *not* to first select it (so it is still black)
3) select Edit Element from the context menu
4) press Ctrl+C
Result: missing glyph (probably a literal Ctrl+C control character?) is inserted. If you first try selecting some text before pressing Ctrl+C, the missing glyph replaces the selected text.
Thanks for the work tracking this down! Could you file an official bug report on this, via "Help / Report a Bug" within MuseScore (or via the "Issue tracker" link in menu at right of this page)?
FWIW, that's a pretty roundabout method of editing text - much easier to just double click, or click then Ctrl+E :-)

Indeed. I'm pretty new at using MuseScore, so I did not realize that double clicking selects the text, also because by double-clicking the text changes from black to blue, by 'my' method the text is 'inverted', as in 'classical' text selection.
