4/4 meaure not accepting notatiion
I am placing notes in a SATB score that is in 4/4 time. My soprano line will only allow 2 quarter note beats to be placed in the bar. The ATB lines all allow for four beats as intended. Why is this happening and what can I do to fix it?

Re the 4/4 post, I am adding this attachment. The problem is in measure 38. Ths is not the only time this has happened in the same score. I'm speaking of the 4th bar on this particular page.
