up/down arrow description inaccurate
Under note entry
is not accurate.
For example, if you press the down arrow on a G in the key of G major (1 sharp) it will be spelled as an F# not a Gb as described. I'm not sure how to concisely state this to correct the handbook. Perhaps "will follow the key signature or use b." I'm afraid that's confusing.

Isn't F# and Gb the same pitch (in well tempered), an enharmonic equivalent?

Yes, but the handbook explicitly tells the user to expect a Gb not an F# to be displayed in my example. As I've been told many times, this is "Notation software."

I think at one point the manualy said 'prefers #/b' rather then 'uses #/b'
Indeed, the actual algorithm - which was result of quite a but of discussion, trial implementations, feedback from users, etc - is more complex than can be easily captured in a one-line description. "Up" will indeed favor a diatonic spelling, but it also favors keeping the same note name when starting from a diatonic pitch, which might mean adding a sharp, natural, or even double sharp.
