No sound on Macbook
using macOS Sierra 10.12.4 and MuseScore 871c8ce
I uninstalled and reinstalled and did the revert to factory settings. I still get no sound on playback, though I do get sound for the metronome if I turn it on. But not the notes. Vol is up on both the play panel and synthesizer. Mixer shows the correct instrument (guitar for my test). I tried downloading someone else's score -- same thing, no sound.

you can avoid reverting to factory settings by simply downloading and installing a replacement SoundFont
Just now I exported a MID file and opened that in GarageBand -- it did play successfully. It just isnt playing in MuseScore directly
