I cannot get the default NoteNames plugin to work

• May 30, 2017 - 06:36

I cannot get the default NoteNames plugin to work. (This is my first venture into plugins).

I go to Plugins => Plugin Manager.

I check "Notenames" to enable the plugin, and I assign a shortcut key (ctrl-alt-N).

I click "Ok" to close the dialog box.

I then select a range of notes, and press my shortcut key. Nothing happens!

Am I missing something?

I am running MuseScore 2.1 under Windows 10 Pro 64-bit.

Does it work when you run it from the menu? If so, you might have a shortcut definition conflict; if not, we can debug further.

It works from the menu! Thank you.

This is my first time using a plugin, and I did not recognize that there was a menu item. The plugin is spelled differently on the menu than it is in the enabled list.

I will get rid of the shortcut key. The menu approach works just fine for me.

Thanks again for your help.
