Ties: One icon for curving DOWN, another for curving UP
Current tie feature follows usual conventions of curving DOWN when above middle line of the staff and curving UP when below the middle line. User can modify the curve after clicking on it and dragging the change. However, would greatly appreciate ability to simply click on an UP-curve or Down-Curve tie icon, as needed, allowing user to deterimine this. Thank you!

Select the slur/tie and press X to flip it. Is this what you wanted?

I looked at your profile after my initial post and say how long you were registered here. I figured you'd know all about the X feature so I figured I read your post wrong.

X is also how you flip a number of other things - stems, slurs, certain articulations. A very useful shortcut to know!
