Need help with soundfont editing
What I want to do is replace the pizzicato section of FluidR3 GM with another soundfont's pizzicato section. I need help with doing this.

How much do you know about editing soundfonts??
Also which OS are you on?

My OS is Windows 7 64 Bit. I have no experience with editing soundfonts. I downloaded two free soundfont editing tools, Polyphone and Viena.

I have both those and am working on Windows 8.
Of the two my personal preference is for Viena, mainly because I know my way round the interface, but also because whilst trying out Polyphone I ended up with a corrupted soundfont, and wasn't sure enough of how to send them an error report.
So if you prefer Polyphone's interface make sure you take backups of the soundfonts you are working on.
What I would do in Viena is to load both soundfonts, then use the copy facility to transfer samples across. You can copy whole instruments and then change the preset to point to that instrument rather than the original.

Got it! It wasn't difficult, and there are no problems switching back and forth between arco and pizzicato.
