longa not counted correctly?
Hi, I obtained the the score shown when attempting to dot the longa above the "ve." of the last "ave" in the bass line: it produced a double longa which in addition makes the note too long for the 4/1 time, since the first of the two longas already covers half of the last measure (as in lines 2 and 3 above). And if I convert the last longa to a double whole, it inserts a doube hole pause at the end. Thus it seems that the first longa only counts as a double whole, while marked as longa.
Any ideas? I saw that displaying note values across measure boundaries is experimental - is this a little bug or am I missing something?
cheers,
Andrea

So that's why then. That final dotted longa is crossing the barline as are several other notes in the measures before. Just toggle that option and you'll see, everything adds up nicely

when I toggle the option I get that the last note is a double whole tied to a longa, which makes 1.5 longa, which is correct. And after some more toggling back and forth I got what I wanted.
thanks.
