I've been using Musecore 3 succesfully (Mac version Yosemite 10.10.5) in the last 2 months or so. A few times the application crashed and quit unexpectedly but that happened randomly and was not an issue to me.
SInce yesterday, though, I'm no longer able to re-open Musecore 3, so I can't use it anymore.

  1. When I open Musecore 3 following pop up appears: "The previous session quite unexpectedly. Restore session? Yes/No".
  2. Then it doesn't matter if I click Yes or No, because reaction will be the same: application will open but will crash immediately (so without doing anything).

I have tried the restore factory setting (-F command) via command line, but after performing this action, I still find same reaction (Steps 1 and 2 mentioned above).

Any clue how I can

What has changed on your computer then? Installed some other software, some OP update?
Which version of MuseScore exactly?
Can you try 3.5RC?

Hi,

Many thanks for the quick response. The version I use is 3.4.2. I haven't changed anything in my Mac (didn't install any new program). Only possible change I can remember before this recurrent crash is that I was precisely updating some scores with MuseScore.
I have also tried re-installing, but somehow there must be a file or something that keeps track of last session and despite the fact I re-install the program the pop-up asking for restoration of last session appears.
Do you think installing 3.5 should solve the issue?

Regards

Juan
