Chord fingerings for piano pieces

• Aug 7, 2020 - 13:50

Hello!

I noticed that the default vertical distance of the fingering numbers regarding (piano) chords, seems to be bigger than I expected. For example, for a chord C-E-G, the fingering is -let's say- 135, and the vertical distance between the numbers 1,3,5 appears bigger than I expected. Is there any way to make this fingering more "condensed" vertically? I noticed that some fonts display less vertical distance than some others. But, is there any more generic way to make these fingerings vertically more "condensed"?

Thanks!

The spacing does indeed depend on the font, MuseScore adds only the tiniest bit of extra padding in there. So your best bet is to find a font in which the numbers "fill" their bounding boxes more fully.
