Trying to add an "E" note but it keeps turning into a crossed note?
I'm trying to add a note, but when I click the line to add the note, the note turns into a cross and shows up as on the 2nd line of the staff (but still makes the "E" sound). I've tried deleting the measure, editing the inspector and measure properties, and restarting Musescore with no luck.
Is there another way to fix this issue?
Thank you!

Seems it gets confused with the the instrument changes between Tambourine and Violin?
Not sure this is supposed to work, ISTR that you can't change from normal to drum staff?

Yeah, that's what I think is happening.

Indeed, not currently supported. There is work being done to make this work in the future.
I've never seen anything like that, the mscz file would be required.
Only thing I can think of that would cause that is if somehow the staff thinks it is a percussion staff at that point.
