compose 15 bars (section 1- 8bars, section 2 7 bars)
add barlines at first and last bar to indicate the section repeats
play score
stops at end and does not repeat.

You probably have play repeats turned off or you were in continuous view then switched to page view. If it's the latter then this bug has been fixed for the next release. You need to turn repeats off then back on. if it's the former then turn on repeats.

Mike320, Thank you. I searched the community and get no results for turn repeats off or on.
I am in Page View. I found 'unroll repeat's command under Tools menu. Clicked and played the unrolled file which renders the repeated sections as a continuous scroll. It played as I expected the repeat barlines to. Then I played the original file and it worked correctly. Saved, closed the application. Reopened and the problem remains. Weird.

I've not heard of unrolling repeats fixing this problem. Using the play repeats button to turn repeats off then back on is what usually fixes it. Some people have experienced that when they start the program they must turn the repeats on and off this way. I'm not sure that's what you did.
