Playback not working (downloaded scores only, metronome still works)
While writing music, the people I am collaborating with send me files to overview via email. However, whenever I receive and open one, I can't hear any audio. However, none of the other fixes have worked, and the metronome still works when turned on. Listening to my own files, the issue is only with files sent to me from others.
Also, this is not an issue of version (we all have the same version) or reading the file itself, only the audio.
Checking I/O displayed as normal, as well as sound board and resetting audio having no effect.

What OS (operating system)? Version of MuseScore?
Can you attach a file (or a snippet of one) that is problematic?

That file does play for me! OS is Windows 10 (fully updated) and MuseScore 3. I will attach a file that does not work for me now!
(just as an fyi, I mainly work with marching percussion, so this writing is a wip cadence I have been working on with a friend)

It doesn't play for me either, but I don't have the MDL extension installed/enabled, do you?

You know what, I do, but it's possible the person I'm working on the cadence with is using a different drumline extension. I'll see if that works

Figured it out! For whatever reason, I forgot that I had Windows reset my computer, and therefore had a version of musescore where the MDL was not downloaded. Once I reinstalled, the files worked fine!
