Missing percussion sounds OS: Windows 10 (10.0), Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.5.2.311459983, revision: github-musescore-musescore-465e7b6
Tablas, Tam-Tam, Tubo, Automobile Brake Drums, Iron Pipes, Chains, Anvil, Cbasa, Quijada, Slit Drum, Whip, Ratchet, Thundersheet, Sandpaper Blocks, Wooden Windchimes, Bamboo Windchimes, Metal Windchimes, Glass Windchimes, Shell Windchimes & Stones cannot be used in MuseScore 3. It seems the included soundfonts are confused as to where they are... The program calls them other things, the samples are not even close, and the program crashes when one tries to assign them in a score. I am using the HQ, Standard, & Sinfonia soundfonts, among others.

If you are experiencing a crash trying to assign a specific sound to a specific instrument of a specific score, please attach the score and precise steps to reproduce the crash.
As for those sounds in general, to the best of my knowledge, none of them are part of the General MIDI standard, so no, you won't hear them played accurately in any standard GM soundfont such as the ones we provide by default. Instead they are mapped some other standard GM sound. You can probably find a special purpose non-GM soundfont for most if not all of them and then install that and use it as described in the Handbook in the section on soundfonts.
