Silencing the melody: not the Chord changes
Hello,
I put together a tune in standard Jazz lead sheet form. For playback and exporting purposes, I'd like to have the option of muting the full melody of my tune, but not the chord changes. I've tried going to the 'mixer' in an attempt to do so, however, the mixer presents one channel- 'piano' which is baically the chord changes and melody together in one channel.
I've only seen thus far instructions for muting chord changes [...specifying not written out chords] in playback or a couple of notes, but how can it be done if both are on one channel? Is there some option allowing me to somehow have playback of the chord changes/progressions without playback of the melody?
Thank you for all responses.

Select all notes and mute them by Inspector?
Try and let us know. Better attach the *.mscz file or an example.
Click on that arrow in mixer to see the chord symbols channel

That's exactly the issue. I don't see a chord symbols channel. So I wasn't sure if a 'chord symbol channel existed.
I only have one channel, named 'Piano', and it plays the chord symbols and the melody together, simultaneously, on that 1 channel.

Thank you so much, Shoichi!
I never noticed that arrow in the top left hand corner you got squared of in this screenshot. I was on the right track starting with the mixer but that's where it ended. Haha, feel so silly, but what's not obvious to you is just not going to be obvious. Problem solved.

That's why I wrote: Click on that arrow in mixer to see the chord symbols channel ;-)

I thought you were talking about the arrow above the channel that expands the viewing of the channel HAHA.

In my opinion it should be more evident, maybe in Bold...
Well, Thank you both. You've been helpful. I really appreciate this resource.
