Musescore 3.5.2 Linux Appimage (on Ubuntu) crashes creating parts with special score

• Nov 26, 2020 - 22:35

When I try to create parts for this attached score (both for Voice and for Organ), Musescore crashes.
Perhaps the score is "buggy" because it has lot of strange things (hidden pauses, non regular bars, ties which link two notes that are not exactly adjacent, ...) and I did not start from scratch with this score, but I started modifying a similar score probably created with Musescore 3.5.1.
Just in case it can help to identify an issue...

Thank you, very helpful!
I confirm that if I put text directly into the vertical frame, I can create parts.

However, if I add a horizontal frame inside the vertical frame, and text inside the horizontal frame, export crashes.
Sometimes, it is necessary to use horizontal frames to have more text columns, and in the past this worked.

There was a somewhat similar bug involving horizontal frames within vertical frames fixed a few months ago that sounds to me like it could be related. I can confirm this particular operation still crashes in current builds, though. And it's reproducible from scratch, just add text to a horizontal frame within a vertical frame and generate parts. Seems to be a similar cause as the previous crash - not correctly managing the chain of what is within what.

Can you submit an official bug report to the issue tracker (see Support menu above)?
