MIDI USB Keybord recognized but not working

I've been having this issue for a while. My nektar impact lx49+ is recognized in Musescore most of the time (sometimes I have to restart the computer to get Musescore to show it in the settings again). However, I cant get Musescore to recognize any input from the keyboard, even though every other piece of software on the computer works with it. I have tried restarting Musescore, launching it before and after connecting the keyboard, resetting the audio/midi devices. I have tried everything I have found suggested in other posts complaining about similar issues, but no luck.

OS: Windows 7 SP 1 (6.1), Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.4.2.9788, revision: 148e43f

I have also tried this under Linux and with a number of different versions of Musescore

Does it work if you first enter a note via mouse or computer keyboard, then without leaving note input mode, entering one from your MIDI keyboard? If that enters a note added to the first, this tells us your keyboard is not sending "note off" messages.
