Multiple Text instances

• Feb 13, 2021 - 02:59

OS: macOS 10.16, Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.6.0.487915347, revision: 1977cb3

Selecting a measure with assigned notes and add (single click) any text from pallette (ie, staff, expression, system, etc) creates multiple instances.

Drag and drop selected text from pallette work without issue.

If you have multiple notes or rests selected (or one or more measures selected) clicking the palette's Measure Text object adds a Measure Text object to each note or rest your in the selection—as you have reported. Same goes for or Expressions.

If you want to add a single text object or expression:

• select a single note or rest
• then chose the object you want to add in the palette.

You don't drop a staff text on a measure though, but just on one note/chord.
So only select that chord if that's the only one you want the (staff) text to be applied to

Thankx Marc.

After 3+ yrs using didn’t realize that functionality.

I’m using musescore so much now for practicing rudimental scores and transposed music scores. Until I’m ready playing to it as playback and listing to the tune for example, then I’m totally ready to apply.

One of the things I still can’t get to work is the 2 measure repeat copy and paste. I have tried copying the 2 measures, and the the repeat sign.

If you have any ideas please let me know.

Thankx
Ron
