Is there a way to show "X" or "N" time signature for open time?
As shown in the attachment (from Dorico).
Thanks for your help!

After inserting the X symbol notes do not automatically shift to the right to allow proper spacing. It would be nice to have an "open time" option in the Time Signatures palette to make it simple and easy.

Agreed, but - where and how are you attaching the symbol? For me it works to attach to the first note of the measure, the extra space doesn't get added until the next time the measure gets laid out - like after editing something else.

Thanks for the suggestions. Still the X is not placed correctly (compare the spacing between clef and 3/4 time signature applied using the time signatures palette).
I am new to MuseScore and I understand that there is probably a way to move the symbol to the right place. It would be great to know how to do that for now, but even better to add symbols for open time to the time signatures palette in future versions.

There is indeed, anything can be moved by dragging if you don't care about precision, or double-click and arrow keys, or the Inspector.
But yes, for a future version, it would be nice to have this implemented directly. I'm just trying to help you get the desired result today.

I know and that is very much appreciated!!! :) Will try with the manual approach, hoping to see it added to the time signatures palette soon
