Playback, mixer, synthesizer and audio I/O are completely greyed out.
Hello everyone,
I have this problem since I've installed Musescore. I work on a macOS Catalina 10.15.4 and I have the 3.6.2 Musescore 3 version. I already saw all the topic forums and already consulted the FAQ "How to restore sound if playback stops working"; I followed every single step but nothing's changed. I'd really like solving this problem because I need to use this software for my academic studies.

Attach a *.mscz file and we can check if it contains any error.
Did you also tried https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/revert-factory-settings ?

Open the mixer, expand the instruments using the arrow, they are set to Mute

Actually the mixer button is grayed out, as the playback controllers.

Have you also tried https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/revert-factory-settings ?
Change the extension of the attachment (from .zip to .mp3). This is how I hear it

You might need to look for MuseScore in System Preferences, Sound, then maybe Output. Or there about. Some times you have to tell a Mac what you want.
