I had musesccroe open for a while. Jack was started and musescore started and I had been browsing internet and I think I stopped and restarted jack in between and then entered some more notes, and then musescore became unresponsive. This was the final image of it as it was frozen.
I don't know if this is relevant. I use Mint, on several occasions while copying scores, the pc has frozen. After waiting for a while I had to brutally shut down (remove the power supply). It seems to have happened while quickly scrolling through open palettes.

can't reproduce. Sorry. Probably was the result of something else I was doing with my system.
