Add chords to a bass guitar tab. They don't play. Then convert tab to notation (using Edit/Instruments then change stave to standard). The chords still don't sound. Open a new score, copy from the previous and now the chords play.
I'm attaching the tab version with a few chords added. (The chords don't sound - and also don't if you convert the score to standard notation). I'm also attaching a score created new with the first four bars copied from the converted tab - this time the chords sound when played.

The play property of those chord symbols is disabled. That score got converted from a previous version, that might be a reason why it got disabled, like when the previuous version was pre-3.5

Thanks Jojo, I didn't know I could enable/disable them! I'm learning. :-)
