- Put computer to sleep.
- Wake computer up.
- Press Play.
Results:
- Play & Pan Score Automatically buttons turning blue.
- Rest of interface is grayed out
- Not a sound is heard (not even a mouse :-)
Restarting Musecore resolves the problem.

You're all but one. Restarting MuseScore os one workaround, not putting the computer to sleep another. Toggling (off and back on) the MIDI button (looks like a 5 pin DIN connector) in the toolbar a possible 3rd.

I have the same issue.
I use it on Windows 11
The Midi on/off does the trick
Same for me (dell Windows 10).
I don't really care I have quickly become used to close MuseScore before letting the computer sleep.
Is there a way (an API) for any program to detect whether the computer just woke up from sleep?
