Dynamics
While trying to insert dynamics into a score (drag and drop didn't work – when I dropped the dynamics sign (f, ff, mf, etc.), it scuttled back to the palette instead of staying on the score). In the ensuing scuffle I deleted the dynamic palette. How do I get it back??

For drag and drop to work you need to find the right spot to drop, the notead needs to change color
Easier is to select the note and (double-)click the dynamics in the palette (older versions needed double-click, in newer versions a single-click is sufficient)
To get the palette back, go to View > Workspace > Reset Workspace

Thanks! I did get the palette back just now (went to advanced rather than basic) . I'll try the select/double click bit.

Exceot - single, not double click (unless you want two of everything).
