How to start vocal line after X number of bars
Hello,
I can't for the life of me work out how to do this, but it seems simple! I'd be grateful for any help.
I'm transcribing some free sheet music into Musescore and I would like to know how to start the vocal line to a piano accompaniment for example after 4 bars or 8 bars, and not at the start of the score. It looks a lot better and also would allow me to duplicate 100% the sheet music that I am using.

Hi,
Thanks - that works, however I then need to alter the number of bars on the first line: is there a way I can move the first bar on the 2nd line up to the 1st line? The 1st line currently has 3 bars.

Reduce stretch. Or reduce the space setting slightly
