Switching Stem Direction for Single Notes within Groups
Hello, is it possible to do this? Attached below is an example of what I am speaking about. Any help/clarification would be greatly appreciated.

Is there any way to make this look better? The notes look so crowded

No getting around the laws of physics here - that's not a good candidate for this trick of placing the beam in the middle. Best to just leave it in the default location, below all the notes. But if you have some special reason to need to place it in the middle, you kind of have to live with the consequences. If you attach your actual score instead of just a picture, we can understand and advise better as to what other options might exist to workaround whatever the problem is you are trying to solve by deviating from the default.
