In this post Marc sabatella wrote >> Regarding changing the order of [linked] staves - it is the top staff that controls the playback, but this determination is only made when the score is laoded, apparently. I'd call that a bug.

In your example, after switching the order, try saving and reloading. Then you get the correct results.

This situation occurs after dragging a linked staff to the top of the Instrument dialog instrument staff list.

UPDATE 2021-08-05: This "topmost" sounding issue seems to occur only between a Linked normal staff and a tablature staff. But I have not tested extensively to confirm this.

As observed on MuseScore 3.6.2/Windows 7

I note that if two linked staves are a regular notation staff and a tab staff, and the tab staff has been moved to the top, then even after the score has been saved and re-loaded, the play velocities are those set on the regular notation staff (now on the bottom).

I don't know if this is a "bug", a "feature", or just a "fact".

The attached score file illustrates this behavior.

Hi Doug,

Thanks for pointing this out.

BTW, in my original post here I meant to mention that the "topmost" sounding issue seems to occur only between a Linked normal staff and a tablature staff. If I understood correctly, that's something that you pointed out in the linked thread. Much appreciated!
